Coming Together For Naboisho
The #ComingTogether Campaign is your chance to make a direct contribution to the hundreds of Maasai families and thousands of wildlife species that depend on the Naboisho Conservancy.
The campaign, hosted on IndieGoGo’s Generosity platform, is raising $50,000 to secure a vital wildlife corridor linking Mara Naboisho to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This area is currently unprotected, allowing uncontrolled fencing to continue. All funds raised will go directly to the Management company of Mara Naboisho (MANCO), a Kenya-registered non-profit.
Naboisho was established in 2010 as a joint initiative between the Maasai Community, Basecamp Explorer and four other tourist partners. The objective was simple: create a model where tourism becomes a force of good that provides a reliable income for local landowners, finances community projects, and safeguards the natural habitat of lions, cheetahs, elephants and other wild animals. The Tourist Partners that operate inside the conservancy invite visitors to explore the region’s unparalleled beauty, which in turn has a positive impact on the surrounding Maasai communities.
Most recently, Naboisho was crowned the Overall Winner of the African Responsible Tourism Awards 2016, from of a selection of 24 finalists nominated for the coveted position – help us to continue to support this magnificent example of Coming Together!
